«Kvartirokhozyain» (Landlord)

Трехэтажное здание в стиле "авангард" на углу Малой Бронной и Малого Козихинского переулка можно было бы назвать домом с эркерами.

Расположенный на углу небольшой кирпичный дом имеет пять эркеров, выступающих от основного объема здания. Со стороны М. Бронной на торцевом фасаде между двумя эркерами расположены два легких изящных балкона на втором и третьем этаже. Дом является примером здания в стиле конструктивизм.

Здание построено в 1927 г. на месте дома купчихи Мозжухиной для кооператива «Квартирохозяин». Автором проекта был архитектор Георгий Константинович Олтаржевский. До революции по проектам этого архитектора было построено несколько доходных домов в Москве. Одновременно с домом на Бронной строился семиэтажный дом в Большом Каретном переулке, также выполненный в стиле конструктивизм.

Небольшой кирпичный домик с отштукатуренными вставками на Малой Бронной — одно из немногих воплощенных в жизнь творений архитектора.

Здесь долгие годы жил артист и библиофил Н.П. Смирнов-Сокольский, о чем говорит мемориальная доска на стене дома.

The three-story building at the corner of the Malaya Bronnaya street and Malyi Kozikhinsky lane could be called a house with bay windows. Located on the corner, this small brick house has five bay windows, protruding from the main volume of the building. From the side of Malaya Bronnaya street on the front facade between the two bay windows there are two light graceful balconies on the second and third floor. The house is an example of a building in constructivism style. The building was constructed in 1927 on the site of the house of the widow Mozzhukhina for the "Landlord" cooperative. The author of the project was the architect Georgy Oltarzhevsky. Before the revolution, on the projects of this architect several tenant houses were built in Moscow. Simultaneously with the house on Bronnaya a seven-story building in the Bolshoy Karetny lane was being built in the same constructivism style. Small brick house with stucco accents on Malaya Bronnaya is one of the few creations of the architect which turned into reality. N.Smirnov-Sokolsky, the artist and bibliophile, lived here for many years. The plaque on the wall of the building is the evidence.
