Tsaritsyno reserve petit palase

Одно из архитектурных украшений музея-заповедника Царицыно —Малый дворец, расположенный на вершине холма-пирамиды. Это cамый маленький по размерам царский дворец в Царицыне (отсюда и название). Малый дворец строился В.И. Баженовым в 1776–1778 годах вместо деревянной беседки эпохи Кантемиров. Зодчий придумал, по сути, «дворцовый вариант» парковой беседки или павильона. С первого взгляда трудно догадаться, что это миниатюрное здание в форме полуротонды является императорским дворцом. Только личный вензель Екатерины Второй в его декоре говорит об особом статусе постройки.

Главный фасад Малого дворца обращен к «Березовым перспективам», а весь его полукруглый корпус с двумя боковыми крыльцами развернут к Верхнему Царицынскому пруду. Позади здания, по бровке холма-пирамиды, сейчас оборудована смотровая площадка. С нее приятно любоваться красотами Верхнего пруда и окрестными ландшафтами. Малый дворец предназначался, видимо, для уединенных кабинетных занятий Екатерины Второй и ее конфиденциальных бесед. Царица любила время от времени менять обстановку своих привычных занятий и предавалась им то в одном, то в другом из дворцов и помещений императорских резиденций.

Главным пространством Малого дворца является овальный зал («кабинет») — светлый и очаровательный по пропорциям. К нему примыкают овальный же будуар императрицы, а также анфилада маленьких помещений служебного назначения («прихожая», «приемная», комната для секретарей и горничных). В планировке дворца можно опознать крошечный отсек для туалетных надобностей императрицы. Как раз в подобном помещении в петербургском Зимнем дворце 67-летнюю Екатерину Вторую настиг инсульт, от которого она скончалась 6 ноября 1796 года. В атмосфере Малого дворца ощущается приятное дыхание «галантного» XVIII века. Из пяти высоких стрельчатых окон овального зала обозреваются восхитительные просторы Верхнего Царицынского пруда. В интерьерах дворца проводятся теперь небольшие историко-культурные и художественные выставки.

One of the architectural elements of the museum -reserve Tsaritsyno is the Small Palace, situated on a hilltop pyramid. This is the Most small -sized royal palace in Tsaritsyno (hence the name). Small palace was built by V.I. Bazhenov in 1776-1778 years instead of the wooden gazebo Cantemirs era. The architect came up with, in fact, "palace version" of the park gazebo or pavilion. Small palace was intended, apparently, for the solitary armchair occupation of Catherine the Great and her confidential conversations. Out of the five tall pointed windows of the oval hall, the delightful expanses of the Upper Tsaritsynsky Pond are surveyed. In the interiors of the palace are now held small historical and cultural and art exhibitions.
