В 1907-1908 годах в Большом Путинковском переулке архитектором Францем Шехтелем строится изящное, в стиле модерн, здание типографии и редакции, основанной Павлом Павловичем Рябушинским газеты «Утро России».

До 1913 года издательское дело велось страшим из братьев Рябушинских единолично, за собственный счет. А затем было образовано Товарищество типографии П.П.Рябушинского с участием остальных членов семейства. При выпуске акций товарищества Павел Павлович оставил за собой 95% паев. Именно он первым из всех семи братьев увлекся политикой в 1900 году. И создал это печатное издание как рупор партии «октябристов» и фракции «прогрессистов» в III Государственной Думе. Потом его правой рукой в этом деле стал Владимир, всегда и во всем поддерживающий старшего брата.

Объем здания скомпонован предельно рационально. Фасадная композиция симметрична и полностью соответствует структуре здания. Ничего лишнего. Центральная часть фасада, выступающая на красную линию улицы, смело расчленена двумя огромными, в три этажа, окнами. Мелкая расстекловка их переплетов определяет ритмику фасадной плоскости, облицованной светлой керамической плиткой. Обращает на себя внимание элегантность линий абрисов окон, проездной арки и арки входа. Высокий аттиковый этаж занимала вывеска типографии.

В 1918-1920 годы в рамках ленинского плана монументальной пропаганды на доме появились барельефы, один из которых сохранился до сих пор. На нем изображены заводские трубы и рабочий, толкающий колесо. А надпись под барельефом гласит: «Вся наша надежда покоится на тех людях, которые сами себя кормят».

В 1930-х годах на последнем этаже здания пробили окна, а сам он был надстроен, что нарушило первоначальные пропорции и формы.

В лихие 1990-е здание переделали в казино. В 2000 году при реконструкции был восстановлен оригинальный фасад: сломали позднюю надстройку над редакционным корпусом, заложили окна в аттике и восстановили логотип.

Architect Franz Schechtel built an elegant art nouveau building in the Big Putinkovsky alley for editorial and print house for "Morning of Russia" newspaper founded by Pavel Riabouchinsky in years 1907-1908. Then his right hand in this business became Vladimir, always and in everything supports his older brother. The building’s volume was arranged very efficiently. The facade composition is symmetrical and is fully consistent with the structure of the building. No excessive details. The central part of the facade which exude the red line of the street boldly dissected by two huge over three floors high windows. The small spreading of their bindings determines the rhythm of the facade plane, lined with light ceramic tiles. Attention is drawn to the elegance of the lines of the outlines of windows, the archway and the entrance arch. A high attic floor was occupied by a signboard of the printing house. In 1918-1920, under the Lenin plan for monumental propaganda, bas-reliefs appeared on the house, one of which has survived to this day. It shows the factory pipes and the worker pushing the wheel. And the inscription under the bas-relief says: "All our hope rests on those people who feed themselves." In the 1930s, on the top floor of the building, where there was an inscription , broke the window , and it was built on itself, which violated the original proportions and shapes. In the dashing 1990s building housed a casino. In 2000 during the reconstruction there was an attempt to restore the original facade : broke the late superstructure above the editorial building, laid the windows in the attic and restored the logo. But they changed the architectural decision of the main entrance.
