Погрудный мраморный бюст Ф. Э. Дзержинского установлен на гранитном постаменте. Выполнен с портретным сходством. На северной стороне постамента цельнолитая бронзовая табличка с надписью: «Ф. Э. Дзержинский». Бюст рас-положен на территории Московского института инженеров железнодорожного транспорта, так как в 1920-е гг. Ф. Э. Дзержинский, будучи главой ВЧК, отвечал за состояние железнодорожного транспорта. Позже институту было присвоено имя Феликса Эдмундовича.

Museum apartment F.M. DostoevskyThe museum is located on the northern outhouse of the former Mariinsky hospital for poor people, which was built on 1806 by I. Zhilardi and A. Mikhailov on project D. Kverengi in style of the last Russian classicism. The family of Doctor M.A. Dostoevsky, the father of the future writer, occupied a small apartment here. From1823 to 1837 Fedor Dostoevsky lived in the apartment on Novaya Bozhedomka, which bears his name from 1954. It is interesting that the building was never rebuilt; the walls, ovens and overlapping remained such what they were during the life of writer. The apartment’s historic interior was recreated in 1980 on the basis of the memoirs of the younger brother of F.M. Dostoevsky. F.M. Dostoevsky left a detailed description of the apartment of his childhood, including drawings and schemes. An oval table, a bookcase, portraits of parents and ancestors, and bronze candelabra from the collection of A. M. Dostoevsky are among the memorial items of the exhibition. In the exposition “World of Dostoevsky” you can see the sofa, which was acquired by Fedor Mikhailovich in1866 during his stay in Moscow, a desk from the writer’s last apartment, an ink device; glasses, the Gospel presented by the wives of Decembrists in1850, writer’s business cards, a box with sleeves for cigarettes, a copy of a bookcase which was made by order of A.G. Dostoevsky for the “Museum of the memory of F. M. Dostoevsky” in 1913. The museum-apartment of F.M. Dostoevsky is a department of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V.I. Dahl.
