Стела установлена в том месте, где ранее располагался дом, в котором жили Герои Советского Союза Зоя и Александр Космодемьянские. Стела облицована красным полированным гранитом, постамент и основание выполнены из того же материала. На лицевой стороне в технике контррельефа вырезаны портреты Космодемьянских и посвятительная надпись. Ремонтные работы на объекте проводились в 2015 г.
