V. L. Pushkin House-Museum

V. L. Pushkin House-Museum is a branch of the State Museum of A. S. Pushkin. A small wooden mansion with nine windows on the façade of the Old Basmannaya Street, 36 familiar to Muscovites long ago. Vasily Lvovich Pushkin, uncle of the great poet, lived in this house. V. L. Pushkin is famous poet of the early 19th century , the author of the first manifests of the Karamzin school, the elder of the Arzamas society, the creator of The Dangerous Neighbor – a poem whose appearance in 1811 became a literary sensation… Collections of the State Museum of Pushkin, objects, and specially acquired for the new museum, and received as a gift, allowed to recreate the atmosphere of the house of Vasily Lvovich, which was visited by famous poets and writers. Alexander Pushkin came more than once in this mansion.
