The complex of museum in Lavrushinsky lane includes the Engineering Corps. The name of the building that was built during last reconstruction is associated with the placement in it of engineering and technical services that provide the activities of the museum (climate, security). Here is a conference hall for scientific symposia and press conferences. The second and third floors of the engineering building are intended for regular exhibits of classic and modern art, domestic and foreign masters. In particular, the project “Golden Map of Russia” is being carried out in the halls of the Engineering Corps, the purpose of which is to present in Moscow a collection of regional museums of the country. A special entrance from Maly Tolmachevsky Lane leads to the lecture hall, hall designed for lectures with slides and video films. From here you can get to the children's studio of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Temple Museum of Saint Nicholas in Tolmachy.

Информация о музее

В комплекс музея в Лаврушинском переулке входит Инженерный корпус. Название здания, построенного во время последней реконструкции, связано с размещением в нем инженерно-технических служб, обеспечивающих деятельность музея (климат, охрана).

Здесь расположен конференц-зал для научных симпозиумов и пресс-конференций.

Второй и третий этажи Инженерного корпуса предназначены для регулярных выставок классического и современного искусства, отечественных и зарубежных мастеров. В частности, в залах Инженерного корпуса осуществляется проект «Золотая карта России», цель которого – представить в Москве собрания региональных музеев страны.

Особый вход с Малого Толмачевского переулка ведет в зал лектория, рассчитанный на проведение лекций с демонстрацией слайдов и видеофильмов. Отсюда же можно попасть в детскую студию Третьяковской галереи и в Храм-музей Святителя Николая в Толмачах.

A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum is a unique phenomenon of Russian culture. The beginning of the museum was laid in the mid-nineties of the XIX century by a private collection of the famous Moscow industrialist and philanthropist Alexei Alexandrovich Bakhrushin. Today, the museum has more than one and a half million exhibits: sketches of costumes and scenery by outstanding masters of set design, photographs and portraits, stage costumes of great actors, programs and playbills of plays, rare publications on theatrical art, objects of decorative and applied art and much more. Theatrical collection has become one of the most valuable museum collections in modern Russia, it presents works by Bakst, Golovin, Kustodiev, Dobuzhinsky, Korovin, Yuon, Roerich, Tatlin, Exter, Rodchenko, Popova and other eminent masters. A variety of exhibitions are held in the main building of the museum and its many branches. The Bakhrushin Museum is always open for theater lovers. In addition to a detailed excursion program, interesting for both children and adults, the museum organizes lectures on the history of the theater using unique stock materials, meetings with famous artists, and creative evenings.
