“Narodniy opolchenec” (People's Militiaman) train

The oldest of the existing registered trains: The name "Narodniy opolchenec"(People's Militiaman) (was assigned to the metro train in 1988 in honor of the 18th division of the Moscow people's militia, in the ranks of which Moscow Metro workers defended their homeland in the fall and winter of 1941-1942. At first, it differed little from conventional trains, but the design of the train was renewed on November 8, 2006 in honor of the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow. Since that time, the inscriptions “Narodniy opolchenec” (People's Militiaman) and "1941-1945" (the last one on the St. George ribbon) were inscribed on the carriages, inside - materials appeared about the Great Patriotic War. On May 7, 2015, in the year of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, the design was re-updated: the stickers with the name of the train were completely replaced, materials for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory appeared outside and inside the carriages.
