Theatrical gallery on Malaya Ordynka is a free space, which was opened for the most unexpected ideas, where theatrical art appears in all its diversity. This exhibition hall is especially loved by theater artists. Here they gladly showed their works as well-known set designers - Tatiana Selvinskaya, Sergey Barkhin, David Borovsky, Oleg Sheintzis, Stanislav Benediktov, Tatiana Spasolomskaya, and young artists - in 2002 and 2005 it was here that the special exhibitions Klin-2 and Klin-4, organized by GTsTM together with the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation. Svetlana Semikolenova is the head of the Theater Gallery on Malaya Ordynka.

Театральная галерея на Малой Ордынке — это свободное пространство, открытое для самых неожиданных идей, где театральное искусство предстает во всем своем многообразии.

Этот выставочный зал особенно любят театральные художники. Здесь с удовольствием показывали свои работы как известные мастера сценографии — Татьяна Сельвинская, Сергей Бархин, Давид Боровский, Олег Шейнцис, Станислав Бенедиктов, Татьяна Спасоломская, так и молодые художники — в 2002 и 2005 году именно тут проходили специальные выставки «Клин-2» и «Клин-4», организованные ГЦТМ совместно с Союзом театральных деятелей РФ.

Заведует Театральной галереей на Малой Ордынке Светлана Викторовна Семиколенова.

A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum is a unique phenomenon of Russian culture. The beginning of the museum was laid in the mid-nineties of the XIX century by a private collection of the famous Moscow industrialist and philanthropist Alexei Alexandrovich Bakhrushin. Today, the museum has more than one and a half million exhibits: sketches of costumes and scenery by outstanding masters of set design, photographs and portraits, stage costumes of great actors, programs and playbills of plays, rare publications on theatrical art, objects of decorative and applied art and much more. Theatrical collection has become one of the most valuable museum collections in modern Russia, it presents works by Bakst, Golovin, Kustodiev, Dobuzhinsky, Korovin, Yuon, Roerich, Tatlin, Exter, Rodchenko, Popova and other eminent masters. A variety of exhibitions are held in the main building of the museum and its many branches. The Bakhrushin Museum is always open for theater lovers. In addition to a detailed excursion program, interesting for both children and adults, the museum organizes lectures on the history of the theater using unique stock materials, meetings with famous artists, and creative evenings.

The Moscow museum of archeology, located in an underground pavilion on the depth of 7 meters in the historical centre of the city, directly on the place of large archeological excavations of the 1993-1996th, gives a view of the medieval capital, history of development of the territory of modern Manezh Square, contains overview about methodology of archeological research. The museum acquaint with material culture of Moscow and the Moscow region from the Paleolithic to the 19th century. The exposition is based on the foundations of the Voskresenskiy Bridge of the 17-18th centuries, which connected two banks of the Neglinnaya River in the past, that were discovered during the excavations. The museum was opened in 1984 in the house where playwright A. N. Ostrovsky was born. Wooden house is monument of culture of the beginning of 20s of the 19 century. The house is located in Zamoskvorechye, one of those rare places in today's Moscow where the charm and comfort of an old life is preserved. Around the city estate of Ostrovsky there is a splendid garden, which blooms from early spring to late autumn, and the rooms of the wooden house, where a slightly muffled, soft light is poured, keep the atmosphere and mood of a calm, measured life. Museum’s collection consists of personal playwright’s things, objects of material culture of Russia of the XIX century, as well as exhibits reflecting the history of Moscow, in particular Zamoskvorechye. The exposition tells about the stage embodiment of the plays of A.N. Ostrovsky on the stage of the Russian theater, it presents sketches of scenery and costumes, portraits of actors, posters, manuscripts. It will be interesting to visit the museum-estate of Ostrovsky for both adults and children. It often hosts children's parties and excursions, and there is always a Christmas tree for Christmas.

The Church of the resurrection in Kadashi

Shining golden domes of the church are visible from far away all around: from the Kremlin, large bridge across the Moscow River and the hills of the Russian capital. Stretched along the Pyatnitskaya street three-storey building number 16 belonged to merchants Vargins in the XIX century. It is based on the outbuilding of a large merchant's estate of the XVIII century of merchant R,I. Zhuravlev.The main house burned down in a fire in 1812. Subsequently, it was restored and built on a mezzanine above it. In the late 1820s, all propety passed to the Vargins. Small-scale production is located in a part of the premises.

A typical pre-war 9-story building in Soviet classicism is located between Ordynka and the old complex of the State Tretyakov Gallery. Architect Ivan Nikolaev provided for a multi-stage volume and dismembered the facade with bay windows and balconies. The first two floors are marked with rustic furniture.

О нём практически ничего не известно, кроме того, что он происходил из крестьян графа Шереметева. Главная история дома связана с винно-водочным королем Российской Империи Петром Арсеньевичем Смирновым. Wonderful Empire-style mansion with a six-columned portico number at 18 Pyatnitskaya Street is the house of Demidov. At the heart of the building a two-storey building in the style of early classicism of the XVIII centuryis located . Then the possession belonged to Fyodor Borisovich Lepeshkin. The house is located with the side towards Pyatnitskaya street and with facade fronting the backyard. Soon after the fire of 1812, already for the new owner - the mining company of Demidov - under the project of the remarkable architect Osip Ivanovich Bove the present building was constructed.

Mansion on Pyatnitskaya Street, known as "The House with Lions", was built in 1897 by order of Wilhelmina (Minna) Ivanovna Rekk, the wife of a prominent businessman Jacob A. Rekk, head of the Association of Nikolsky series and founder of the Moscow Trade and Construction Joint Stock Company - one of the largest house-building firms in pre-revolutionary Russia.

A small merchant's house with a mezzanine stands next to its more ornate brethren. Simple decor of this house makes it a discreet monument of the old times. The house is seven windows along the facade with a very nice mezzanine in three windows. The windows of the first and second floor have profiled a simple trim. Three rusted windows with imitation of lock stones of the castle are the center of the composition.

On the left side of the street Bolshaya Ordynka, at number 47, there is an unusually high two-story house with a massive socle made of granite blocks, beautiful cast-iron umbrellas above the entrances located to the sides of the central, vertically stretched, risalite. The house was built in the 70s of the XIX century at the expense of the Moscow merchant society by architect Alexander Kaminsky, a graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.

Существующий главный дом усадьбы построен вскоре после пожара 1812 года.
