Monument "Seasonal workers" was opened in 1929 at the suggestion of the Office of Public Utilities Moscow.
Monument on this site is not by accident - Labor exchange where workers came to Moscow for season looking for work was located here in the early 1920s.
According to legend, a model for the "seasonal workers" was a real seasonal workers who came to Moscow from the country during the winter to make some money for the family off seasnon. He came here with his son, but the son died suddenly, and it is this state of seasonal worker depicted on the sculpture.
